Big week!

Last week was such a big week for this little family!!

Two weeks ago we made nap time a "no bink" zone. After a rouge bink was confiscated on the first attempt, the remainder of the week went very well!! YAY!

Last Monday, we made bed time a "no bink" zone.
Monday night= suuuuupppperrr fun
He woke up 3 times and screamed and screamed. But after 12:45 he slept through the night until 6:30AM (good call on not closing the black out curtains, Jess).
Night two was the complete opposite. Went to bed without a peep and slept until 7:45 am!
Only one other night of not-so-fun-ness this week, and that was waking up only one time.
I'm thinking "Operation Bye-Bye Bink" is a success!

Last week we also took away his bottles. He still has to be on formula, but he can only drink it through sippy cups now. He is a pro now!

Last week we also finally turned his car seat around! Cooper faces us as we drive and it is probably the most fun thing ever! He dances, makes faces, talks away, points at all the cars and gets super excited seeing everyone!

COOPER IS GROWING UP WAY TOO FAST!
Make it stop!

Zoo Day

Zoo time!
YAY!
We love the Zoo!

Today we met up with a friend and went to the Zoo!
It was Halloween week, which sounded so cool!
It was even Western Day, so Cooper was able to wear his cowboy boots!

"BOO! at the ZOO!" week sounds awesome.
Until it means they close down some of the best exhibits so the animals don't get scared.
They tell you to let your child dress up.
But because your kid is dressed up (like they say on the website), the Monkey Encounter exhibit is closed.
The Monkey Encounter exhibit is the best of all the exhibits!
You get to walk in to a "caged" in very large outside area and multiple little tiny monkeys come running up to you! It is so much fun and the kids love it!
So Cooper and I were very sad that we didn't get to see all the fun monkeys up close!

The Giraffe Encounter was also closed.
Normally you can pay to feed the giraffes and they get super close and eat out of your hands!
But again, Since it was halloween week, and kids are in costumes, that exhibit wasn't open.

Another thing,
They had a newborn Orangoutang
(apes, not monkeys, because they don't have tails-- as we were so kindly corrected by the woman who worked there outside of the window, as we told our one year olds "look at the baby monkey").
There was a little girl in her costume, and the woman told her to stop there (about 3 feet away from the glass) because she would scare the baby.

All in all,
The concept of "Boo! at the ZOO" sounds cool,
but it doesn't really allow you to experience any of the fun stuff at the zoo!
Either way we did still have a GREAT time!
Even when the boys hugged each other, and it would seem that Cooper had super hugging strength as he proceeded to knock the poor boy down, we had a blast!

mid fall. They just loved each other so much they couldn't handle it!

Punky

Cooper loves Fall.
He picked up the word "pumpkin" and now he gets to say it a thousand times a day.
So we get to hear "punky" all day long.
CUTEST. THING. EVER.

So going to the "punky" patch today,
we heard it a thousand and one times :)
